For this weeks Meet the team, we talk to Data Analyst Eleanor Mitchell to hear about her journey into the data world, 10k runs and felt elephants.
“I’m a Data Analyst. I work with clients to understand the challenges and goals in their business and work to create solutions using their data that can best tackle these issues.”
“Information Science is where I first started. I did a PHD and Masters in it at the University of Sheffield. From there, I worked as Customer Support Analyst with my work taking me to London, Cambridge and even California for a while. After that, I worked for the Intermediary Technology Institute in Dundee, before switching to Scottish Enterprise. I was at the organisation for 15 years, where we worked to commercialise technology in business like start-ups. Deciding that I wanted to move into something a little different, I did a Masters in Artificial Intelligence and Applications at the University of Strathclyde, where I studied topics like Machine Learning and Python. Not long after I graduated, I joined effini.”
“My favourite part is engaging with clients. From exploring new areas, to getting to the heart of what the customer really wants, this is the part I find very interesting.”
“I’m trying to stay fit by cycling into work and I’ve run two 10k races this year. I sing in a choir and I’ve several creative projects on the go, such as the felt elephant I recently created for our brand competition.”
